100% Local Audio Processing Guarantee
LiveAudio is engineered from the ground up as a local-first desktop application. All speech recognition, audio capture, and Whisper AI inference execute strictly on your device's local hardware (CPU or CUDA/Vulkan GPU). No audio, speech, or transcription data is ever sent to, relayed through, or stored on external cloud servers, remote APIs, or third-party databases.
1. Overview and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Plynte Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with:
- The LiveAudio Desktop Application: The downloadable software for Windows and Linux that provides real-time Whisper captions via local WebSocket.
- The LiveAudio Website: The marketing and documentation site hosted at
liveaudio.opencohost.com.
2. LiveAudio Desktop Application
The LiveAudio desktop software does not collect, record, transmit, or monetize your personal information or audio streams:
- Zero Audio Transmission: Audio captured from your microphone or desktop loopback is processed in memory on your machine and immediately discarded after transcription frames are generated.
- Local Model Inference: Whisper model weights (e.g., GGML / GGUF binaries) are stored on your local drive and run entirely on local processor cores or graphics accelerators.
- Local-Only WebSocket: LiveAudio broadcasts transcription events over a local WebSocket server binding by default to
127.0.0.1:8765. This connection is strictly local to your workstation and is never exposed to the public internet unless you explicitly configure remote network tunneling on your own infrastructure. - No Telemetry or Phone-Home: The application does not contain background analytics trackers, usage telemetry, or automated crash-reporting daemons that send data to our servers.
3. Website Information Collection & Analytics
When you browse liveaudio.opencohost.com, we collect limited usage metrics to monitor site performance, diagnose broken links, and optimize documentation. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect personal identifiers like names, physical addresses, or financial details.

Clarity records user interactions such as mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, and aggregate viewport dimensions. Sensitive text inputs and confidential form fields are automatically masked by Clarity prior to transmission. For more details on how Microsoft collects and processes your data, please review theMicrosoft Privacy Statement.
Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights
Our website uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to measure aggregate Core Web Vitals (such as Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift) and page delivery performance. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-preserving: it operates without persistent tracking cookies, does not collect personal data, and processes visitor requests using temporary, anonymized IP hashes.
4. Cookies & Tracking Management

Aggregated website analytics data is retained in accordance with Microsoft Clarity's standard data retention policies (typically 30 to 90 days for session recordings). We protect the website infrastructure using strict Content-Security-Policy (CSP) headers, enforced HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.3), and immutable asset hashing.
6. Open Source Code Transparency
Because LiveAudio is an open-source project licensed under the MIT License, our application code is publicly auditable. You can inspect the entire audio pipeline, WebSocket server implementation, and Whisper inference engine in ourGitHub repositoryto verify that no audio or private telemetry leaves your computer.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location (including the European Economic Area, the UK, and California), you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data collected about you.
